At the closing event for the study on the promotion of reusable packaging, Nicolas Cayé presented the opportunities and limitations for reusable systems in the B2B and B2C sectors. GVM Managing Director Kurt Schüler gave a presentation on the material flow of EPS packaging at the IK members’ meeting. The focus was not only on the waste source structure of EPS packaging, but also on how the packaging is collected and recycled.
At the PET Forum at the IK, Nicolas Cayé presented the results of the analysis of the PET material flow in Germany. According to the report, PET beverage bottles produced in Germany consist of more than 50 percent of recyclate. With 97.6 percent, Germany also has the highest recycling rate in the world.
