Consumption of plastic carrier bags falls by 14% in 2019
The consumption of plastic carrier bags in Germany reduced to 1.7 billion in 2019. Compared to the previous year, consumption declined by 14%. It has reduced by 69% in comparison to 2015. This is the result of GVM’s study on behalf of the German Retail Association (HDE).
