The Customer

The customer is one of the world-leading manufacturers of packaging machinery and equipment.

The Challenge

For its current packaging technology, the company is looking for strategic partners to create new synergy effects through cooperation. To provide a basis for decision-making, potential strategic partners need be identified, evaluated, and ranked using relevant criteria.

The Solution

  • Assessment criteria are developed in consultation with the client. GVM designs accordingly an implementation method so that the addressed criteria can be evaluated using well-researched indicators.
  • Suitable companies are identified and indicators such as sales, EBIT, product portfolio, locations and patents are researched.
  • From the information, GVM creates concise company profiles and forms ranking lists that show the strengths, weaknesses and suitability of the companies examined as strategic partners.

The result

The customer receives an overview of the attractiveness of potential partners and recommendations for action derived from this. The evaluation standard and the evaluation-relevant information are made available to the customer so that they can dynamically adapt the created attractiveness ranking to changing preferences.
