At the closing event of the UBA project “Life cycle assessment analysis of optimization potentials for beverage packaging” in Dessau-Roßlau, GVM project manager Nicolas Cayé presented results on the optimization potentials of selected beverage packaging. The focus was on packaging material used, number of rotations, and distribution distances.

A debate in which GVM Managing Director Kurt Schüler took part was published in issue 38/2023 of Lebensmittelzeitung. The topics were the relevance of waste and the circularity and climate friendliness of packaging. Particular attention was paid to the limits of the use of recyclate in plastic food packaging.
