Dr. Gerhard Eisenblätter passed away
We mourn the death of our company founder Dr. Gerhard Eisenblätter, who passed away on December 11, 2015 at the age of 76.
Dr. Eisenblätter, who holds a doctorate in history, started his professional career at the market research institute DIVO-INMAR. In 1977, Dr. Eisenblätter founded GVM Gesellschaft für Verpackungsmarktforschung, where he worked as managing director until he was 65 years old. His tireless commitment, determination and competence have always been a guiding principle for us. From the introduction of the Packaging Ordinance in the early 1990s, Dr. Eisenblätter set a new focus, the development of the GVM database Market Quantity Packaging. It became the basis of many GVM studies and continues to shape the company’s success to this day. Dr. Eisenblätter also gained popularity with his studies on the development of disposable and reusable beverage packaging. His study were regarded by all market participants as meticulously researched and sharply analyzed documentation of market developments, which made an important contribution to objectifying the political debate.
After his retirement, Dr. Eisenblätter lived in seclusion near Berlin and Wiesbaden. We will always remember him with gratitude.
