Concept Study for the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management
GVM conducted a concept study for quota regulation on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. On March 4th, the results of the study were presented to the representatives of System Operators and the Austrian Economic Chambers at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water Management. The study established the terminological and methodological foundation for future quota studies within the framework of the amended Waste Management Act. Based on empirically determined quotas the Ministry can adopt a regulation which corrects the generalized classification of packaging into domestic packaging or commercial packaging according to the Waste Management Act with the actual generation points.
