Closed Cycle for Beverage Cans
Beverage cans are very popular on the market. In 2019, 4.5 billion units of beverage cans were brought into circulation in Germany. Their recycling rate is extraordinarily high: aluminum beverage cans reach a recycling rate of 99.3%, while tinplate beverage cans of 99.7%. Among the garbage that was carelessly thrown into the environment, beverage cans make up only 0.03% and is therefore almost negligible.
This is the result of a new study carried out by GVM on behalf of DAVR GmbH, the Forum Flaschendose GbR and ThyssenKrupp Rasselstein GmbH. The full report can be found here.
