GVM as part of UBA’s Project – Updating Life Cycle Assessment
In early September, the German Federal Environment Agency UBA (Umweltbundesamt) assigned the company Ifeu, Heidelberg to conduct the study “Examining and Updating the Life Cycle Assessment of Beverage Packaging” in cooperation with GVM and Integrahl.
With an expected duration of 38 months, the study aims to update packaging life cycle assessments and to review and further develop related methodology. Representativeness is yet another key aspect. GVM will contribute its expertise primarily in certain topics such as market importance of packaging systems, distribution, and number of trips/ rotation.
