Presentation on the availability and demand for PET recyclates
GVM project manager Nicolas Cayé gave a presentation at the Wiegand Group on the bottleneck of PET recyclates in 2025 and beyond. The presentation focussed on the forecast for the supply of rPET and the demand for rPET for food applications. The presentation explored whether enough food-grade rPET will be available to meet the challenging voluntary commitments made by major PET bottlers and the mandated 25 % recycled content in PET beverage bottles.
