Mr. Sch\u00fcler revealed the results of a study carried out by GVM Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Verpackungsmarktforschung and the ifeu\u2010Institute for Energy and Environmental Research Heidelberg GmbH on behalf of eight industry associations.<br \/>\nThe study shows that the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the German packaging consumption volume can be reduced by 94 percent by 2045 The study predicts that packaging consumption in Germany has reached its peak in 2021 and will decline in the future. On the other hand, the use of recyclate and the recycling quotas will increase.
